Ukrainian PM met with Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini

On Monday, July 7, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Federica Mogherini, who is in Kyiv with a two-day visit.

The Prime Minister welcomed the fact that the first foreign visit of the Italian Foreign Minister, after the start of the Italian Presidency of the European Union from July 1, takes place in Ukraine. Arseniy Yatseniuk has stated Ukraine's intention to further intensify the dialogue with the European Union in the context of the implementation of the Association Agreement. They discussed the possibility of granting Italian experts and technical assistance in the areas of energy security and improvement of the investment climate.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Federica Mogherini exchanged views on the current security situation in the east of Ukraine and the priority needs for the reconstruction of the region.
