Ukrainian diaspora is ready to give full support to Government of Ukraine

Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Pavlo Sheremeta has met with president of the Ukrainian World Congress Eugene Czolij and Paul Grod, National President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress; the sides have discussed prospects of cooperation between Ukrainian Diaspora and the Government of Ukraine.

Eugene Czolij stressed that as of today the Ukrainian World Congress has quiet extensive list of tools which use by the Government of Ukraine will enable us to promote the public interest more effectively at the international level. In particularly, UWC President said that the organization has offices in many countries, and it works closely with the governments of these countries. He believes that such links can be used to benefit of the Ukrainian people. In addition, the diaspora is able to help Ukraine economically, but it requires a clear mechanism for providing this assistance.

Pavlo Sheremeta thanked the Ukrainian diaspora for the willingness to support Ukraine in a very important time for the country.

"Now we have another chance to address the development of Ukraine in the right direction, and we should take it," the Minister said.

According to Pavel Sheremet, now Ukraine would not stir expert’s assistance of the Diaspora in matters relating to facilitating business activities.

The Minister said that after deregulation measures, it will be possible to talk about attraction of investments in specific areas under the implementation of specific projects.
