    Infrastructure stability

    • At the request of the Government of Ukraine, Australia will provide our country with at least 70,000 tons of thermal coal to strengthen energy security. Australia is recognized internationally as a leading and reliable supplier of energy resources. We thank our Australian partners for helping Ukraine in this difficult time. The Australian Government has worked with the country's coal industry to accumulate coal, which will be the country's contribution to providing Ukrainian consumers with a reliable electricity supply. The Australian company Whitehaven Coal will arrange a shipment. Currently, the government is working with the Ukrainian side on the issue of prompt delivery. The cost of coal and its shipment will be covered by the Australian Government.
    • DTEK's power engineers continue activities to restore electricity supplies to the homes of Ukrainians. Another 13,400 families from Donetsk and Kyiv regions are with light by now.
    • In 14 towns and villages in Donetsk region, DTEK's energy companies partially or completely restored electricity supplies, despite active shelling and hostilities: in Krasnohorivka, Zalizne, Avdiivka, Sviatohorsk, Novy Trud, Dachenske, Soleny khutir, Novopavlivka, Zelene, Luhanske, Bohorodychne, Dolyna, Adamivka, Mazanivka, Krasnopillya. In total - for 11,600 households.
    • In Kyiv region, the light was restored in Vyshhorod and Kyiv-Sviatoshynsky districts. In total - for 1,800 families.

    International dimension and sanctions

Ukraine called on Luxembourg to recognize Russia as a country that finances terrorism and to strengthen financial supervision over "sanctions affected individuals and companies with Russian capital that conduct financial transactions and those that serve Russian capital." Strengthening the monitoring of financial transactions, their blocking, the freezing of assets, etc. will help prevent the spread of international terrorism. Russia's state-owned conglomerates Rosneft and Gazprom maintain ties with at least 75 organizations in Europe and the United Kingdom, nearly half of which are based in Luxembourg. At least 36 companies registered in Luxembourg are owned by either Rosneft or Gazprom, which are Russia's two major state-owned companies in terms of revenue.
