On Sunday, March 20, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal visited the Central Railway Terminal in Kyiv, where he awarded the employees of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia – the Iron Heroes.

"Today, the railway network has truly become a life support system of the country. The train traffic means life," the Prime Minister stressed.

Denys Shmyhal noted that since the beginning of the Russian invasion, railway workers were heroically evacuating people and transporting goods to the military, refugees and besieged cities.

"Moreover, they instill faith that very soon they will take everyone back home just as safely and carefully," said the Prime Minister.

The Head of Government talked to the people, thanked the railroaders for their work and stressed: "As long as the trains operate, the country is alive."
