1,530 units of machinery and 1,858 rescue personnel engaged in elimination of the effects of snowstorm on public roads

Currently, 1,530 units of machinery and 1,858 rescuers are working on the roads of state importance to eliminate the consequences of bad weather. The activities to spread anti-icing materials are carried out, and the carriageway and roadsides are cleared of snow.

The road surface in most regions is covered with snow, in the southern regions there is black frost in some places. During the last 24 hours, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Kyiv and Cherkasy regions had the most precipitations. There fell from 3 to 15 cm of snow. Light snow is observed in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kirovohrad, Odesa, Poltava, Chernivtsi, Kherson and Kharkiv regions. In Mykolayiv region – it sleets and black frost is observed. On the crossing sections of roads in Zakarpattia and Lviv region – it rains. Vyshkivsky Pass in Ivano-Frankivsk region is covered with snow.
