"Winter support thousand” can be spent in even more stores — now in 10 retail chains

The list of retail chains where one can spend “Winter support” funding on Ukrainian-made food products has expanded to 10. On December 18, five more chains joined the program — Auchan, SPAR, VARUS, Torba, and Simi23 — and the number of stores throughout Ukraine increased from 1,160 to over 1,780.

Ukrainians can now also shop online — they have the option to pay with their National Cashback card on the MAUDAU marketplace.

The first chains to join the Winter Support program were Fozzy Group (Silpo, Fora, THRASH!, Fozzy) and Blyzenko. Starting December 11, the assistance can be spent on Ukrainian-made food products, except for excise goods.

The aid in the amount of UAH 1,000 is available to all citizens of Ukraine, both adults and children. A separate application is filed for each child, and can be submitted online through the Diia app or through an Ukrposhta branch, as with all other applications. Applications will be accepted until December 24, 2025. Some 14.3 million Ukrainians have already received assistance, and more than 17 million applications have been submitted in total.

The “winter support thousand" hryvnias can be spent on utilities and postal services, Ukrainian-made goods — medicines, books, food — and charity. Most often, Ukrainians use the funds to pay for utilities.

Money received on the National Cashback card must be used by June 30, 2026. As of today, the total amount of payments via this card exceeded UAH 6 billion.

Please note that recipients of Winter Support via Ukrposhta now have extra time to spend the funds — they can do so until the end of February 2026.
