In seven months of 2024, the Export Credit Agency of Ukraine supported exports by UAH 4.84 billion. This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
“As of 31 July 2024, we have UAH 4.84 billion of export support from our Export Credit Agency. At the same time, each hryvnia of ECA’s insurance liability was converted into more than UAH 13 of future export revenue. Thanks to cooperation with the ECA, businesses reduce their own risks and, in particular, get cheaper loans. And, accordingly, increase the volume of non-resource exports. This is exactly what the Made in Ukraine economic policy is aimed at,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.
Since the beginning of the year, businesses in Kyiv, as well as in Lviv and Vinnytsia regions have most often used the opportunity to obtain an export credit under ECA insurance or insure a foreign economic activity agreement. ECA clients exported the most to Poland (UAH 1 billion), the United Arab Emirates (UAH 888.2 million) and Azerbaijan (UAH 811 million).
In terms of export commodities, the exported goods were mainly milk and dairy products (UAH 2.53 billion), wood and wood products (UAH 1 billion), toys (UAH 268 million), clothing (UAH 256 million) and processed vegetables (UAH 235 million).
