Made in Ukraine: September saw a record number of applications for compensation of 15% of the cost of Ukrainian industrial equipment
The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine has approved the distribution of funds for September applications under the programme to compensate 15% of the cost of Ukrainian wheeled, construction and specialised equipment, lifts and energy equipment manufactured domestically.
Compensation totalling UAH 8.2 million will be received by 27 applicants who submitted applications in September. They purchased 53 units of Ukrainian-made machinery and equipment for a total of UAH 65.9 million.
The purchased equipment includes buses, passenger lifts, semi-trailer tanks of various modifications, a semi-trailer container carrier for fertilisers, a backhoe loader and other modern Ukrainian equipment.
"September was the most active month since the programme launch: 27 entrepreneurs took advantage of the opportunity to purchase new equipment with a 15% compensation. This is twice as much as the average for previous months. Each of these applications means not only new equipment for businesses that are already operating, but also new orders and jobs for our machine builders. This is effective and powerful support for the development of Ukrainian industry," said Andrii Teliupa, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
The equipment, the cost of which will be partially compensated by the state, is manufactured by 11 Ukrainian machine-building enterprises: Karat-Liftkomplekt, Euroformat Plant, TDC Ukrspetstechnika, Kobzarenko Plant, Zmiyiv-Trans, Elvorti, Ukrelektroapparat, Inteldim, Cherkasy Bus, and others.
In October, the Government expanded the list of equipment for the fifth time, adding new items and manufacturing companies. Currently, the list of equipment, 15% of the cost of which is compensated by the state, includes 868 items of equipment and machinery from 39 Ukrainian machine-building enterprises.
How the programme works:
The programme of partial compensation of 15% of the cost (excluding VAT) has been in effect since September 2024 as part of the state policy ‘Made in Ukraine’. It applies to equipment manufactured in Ukraine with a localisation rate of at least 40%. The list of equipment that can be purchased with compensation is published on the website of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture.
