At present, the movement of export cargo from Ukrainian facilities in transit is carried out by road and rail through certain checkpoints.

Goods with products originating in the countries or their separate territories from which products are allowed to be imported into the EU and a certificate for importing products into the EU are allowed for transit through the territory of EU member states (Regulation (EU) 2020/2235).

However, it should be noted that EU legislation, namely Regulation (EU) № 2019/2124 establishes the procedure for controlling the transit of products from one third country to another third country through the territory of an EU member state. At the same time, consignments of animal products must meet the animal health requirements, which are certified in the appropriate transit forms.

Thus, the transit of animal products to third countries (outside the EU) is possible for categories of goods that are authorized for export to the EU from both approved and unauthorized facilities, subject to compliance with the health requirements of the relevant forms of certificates.
