On April 13, 2020, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine" On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2020 ".

For the funding of the State Regional Development Fund (SRDF) is to be earmarked UAH 4.9 billion, which will allow putting into operation the objects already started in previous years, to preserve jobs, as well as not to lose the confidence of the projects customers in the SRDF, as a tool of implementation of regional strategies.

The Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksii Chernyshov assures: “Such a decision will allow prolonging construction activities on socially important projects of regional development, to ensure their putting in operation this year, will enable not to lose workplaces in the difficult period for the country, to support the economy and provide the implementation of projects that are planned under the Great Construction program.

Moreover, the budgets worth UAH 1.7 billion are provided to local budgets for the implementation of measures of socio-economic development of certain territories.

This subvention is intended to finance, in 2020, measures aimed at preventing the spread, localization and elimination of outbreaks, epidemic and pandemic of COVID-19 acute respiratory disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
