    By inviting Ukraine to take part in the Invictus Games, the global world recognizes us as its part, a country that is guarding the democratic values of western civilization. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze during the presentation of the National Invictus Team Ukraine and the opening of the first training camp of the Invictus Games in Kyiv.

    "I want to congratulate you on your self-conquest. It is a pleasure to mention that the participation of our team is already a tradition", stressed Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, while  addressing the National Invictus Team Ukraine 2018  and she also emphasized  the important role of the Games for the sports and psychological rehabilitation of veterans.

    The Vice Prime Minister thanked ministries and state authorities, public organizations, as well as NATO partners, who are involved in preparing our team for participation in the Invictus Games.

    This year the national team includes 15 athletes and sportswomen from all over the country. Today they kicked off training on swimming, archery, powerlifting, indoor rowing, athletics and cycling.

    The Invictus Games Sydney 2018 will be held from 20 - 27 October 2018. Events will be held across Greater Sydney, including Sydney Olympic Park and on and around the iconic Sydney Harbour.  The Olympic Park. which was completely renovated for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, encapsulates several locations at once and will become the central venue for the Invictus Games. The scenic Sydney Harbour will be the starting point for the regatta, as well as will host cycling criterium.
