Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion and Minister of Economy and Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova Chiril Gaburici discussed the issue pertaining to holding the next meeting of the Mixed Ukrainian-Moldovan Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation.
According to the Vice Prime Minister, a steady dialogue at the intergovernmental level has contributed to a significant increase in trade between the countries, which following the results of 2017 amounted to $ 885 million.
"We have every reason to say that this year’s upturn in our bilateral trade reached $ 1 billion. It became possible to achieve the said indicators due to the roadmap for the development of the Moldovan-Ukrainian cooperation for 2018, which was inked by the Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Moldova in October last year in Chisinau", the Vice Prime Minister stressed.
The bilateral agreements on the liberalization of air and vehicle connection between the two countries, which were recently signed, have contributed to the deepening of economic and investment cooperation.
A draft protocol to the Agreement between Moldova and Ukraine on the international automobile communications particularly concerning staying of Moldovan drivers of passenger and freight transport on the territory of Ukraine.
