The acquisition agency of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT), has published its acquisition plan until the end of 2024.
The plan covers all categories of support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including food, clothing, fuel and lubricants.
The main goal of the initiative is to provide potential suppliers with sufficient time to prepare for procurement. With access to information on the deadlines for all items, contractors will be able to optimise their production processes and operations, which will contribute to the continuity of supply to the Armed Forces.
“By planning acquisitions in advance, we are taking another step towards strengthening the country’s defence capabilities and ensuring the proper level of support for the military. Transparency in our acquisition process fosters strong partnerships with suppliers, ensuring a consistent provision of necessary resources for our defenders. We believe that these initiatives will enhance our capability to quickly address challenges and uphold a high level of combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said Dmytro Klimenkov, Deputy Minister of Defence.
Transparency in DOT’s operation enhances the supply of the military and increases the overall efficiency of budgetary funds.
