Bill on urban planning reform is to be submitted to Parliament next week, says Prime Minister

The bill on reforming state regulation in the field of urban planning is to be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada next week. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a meeting on reform in the field of urban planning, which took place on March 17 under his chairmanship.

The discussion was attended by Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov, Minister of Justice Denys Maliuska, Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning Andriy Klochko, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture, members of the line Verkhovna Rada Committee, representatives of the construction industry and the Association of Ukrainian Cities.

During the meeting, the Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov showcased the main provisions of the draft law, which were supported by the participants of the construction market.

"We continue to reform the urban planning sphere. Significant steps have already been taken, in particular, an open and transparent electronic register has been created with more than 60,000 permits having registered so far. For the reform to work fully, it is critical to amend the legislation. We have to submit the relevant bill to the Parliament next week," said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
