Budget execution for the first half of the year amounted to UAH 583 billion. This is by UAH 35 billion more than planned and by UAH 63 billion more than in 2020. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada.
"Yet in the second quarter, we can observe growth in the economy in general and investment activity in particular. The proof of this is the fact that for the third month in a row, bank loan portfolios are growing by more than UAH 10 billion per month. That is, business begins to invest in development and expansion," said the Prime Minister.
The Head of Government noted that in the first 5 months of 2021, exports of Ukrainian products had increased by 26%.
"The increase in exports is observed in almost all product groups. In particular, exports to the UK increased by 64%, exports to Germany by 52%, exports to China grew by 50%. For rather long, Ukraine has not been able to fully realize its export potential, but the joint work of Government and businesses allows to open new markets and expand the geography of exports," said Denys Shmyhal.
