During first two days of eSupport testing there have been registered over 500,000 applications, says Denys Shmyhal

Testing of eSupport program initiated by Ukraine's President has triggered this week. Over a few days, banks opened more than 1.7 million virtual cards for payments of a UAH 1,000 resource to inoculated citizens. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced during a Government session on December 15.

"Over 500,000 applications have been processed during the first two days of work for the testers of the pilot project. From December 19, each vaccinated person will be able to start spending 1,000 hryvnias. While the Government will continue to work on improving the program," said Denys Shmyhal.

The eSupport program, initiated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, was designed to support businesses affected by the negative effects of the pandemic and to encourage people to get vaccinated. The full start of the program is scheduled for December 19. Fully immunized Ukrainians will receive through the Diia to a virtual card a UAH 1,000 sum which they can spend on tickets to the cinema, theater or museum, travel by train or plane, to sports centers, and purchase of books.
