Prime Minister: From September 1, first graders will be taught under new state standard

From September 1 in Ukraine, first-grade pupils will study under the new state standard and in new classrooms, for the equipment of which there has been allocated UAH 1 billion this year. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

"From September 1 the first form pupils will be taught in line with the new state standard. 22,000 primary school teachers, over 18,000 foreign language teachers, who will work with children, have undergone re-training. We transferred almost UAH 1 billion to self-government bodies to satisfy the needs of the primary school", said Volodymyr Groysman.

He also reminded that, in addition to the new primary school, the Government introduces new government tools for motivating young scientists. "We establish a Research Foundation. This is the beginning of the funding process for young scientists. We will find mechanisms for scientists to work in Ukraine, science to develop", the Head of Government stressed.
