Yulia Svyrydenko hears report on preliminary findings of audit of Energoatom
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko held a working meeting with the Head of the State Audit Service of Ukraine, Alla Basalaieva, and heard a report on the preliminary findings of the audit of NAEK Energoatom.
The audit is ongoing. At present, the analysis is focusing on issues of excessive expenditure linked to the company carrying out high-risk operations. According to the Prime Minister, shortcomings have already been identified in the determination of the expected cost of procurements, instances of inflated costs for the purchase of goods and materials, and the involvement of intermediaries in the supply of goods.
Separately, the auditors are examining the legality of salary payments to the company’s management.
“All identified violations will receive an appropriate legal assessment from law enforcement and anti-corruption bodies, and those responsible will be held accountable,” emphasised Yulia Svyrydenko.
