Yulia Svyrydenko urges partners to strengthen sanctions against russia
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported that, for the first time since the start of russia’s full-scale invasion, the aggressor struck the Cabinet of Ministers building, where the Government team operates.
“Fortunately, no one was injured. The fire has been extinguished. I thank the rescuers. russian terror will not halt the Government’s work. We will restore the damage. But the lives of Ukrainians cannot be brought back,” stressed the Head of Government.
As a result of russian terror attacks across Ukraine overnight, four people were killed, and over 44 were injured.
“It is clear that russia does not want peace. I urge our partners and all countries worldwide to turn their frustration with russia’s actions into effective support for Ukraine – not for a Government building, but to protect our people across the country. The time to act is now. Ukraine needs more air defence systems to protect our skies and energy infrastructure, especially with winter approaching. Strengthen sanctions to reduce resources for russia’s war machine. This is achievable – the means are in your hands. Only our unity and a strong response can stop russia and bring peace,” said Yulia Svyrydenko.
Background
