Yulia Svyrydenko: Drivers will be able to record traffic accidents at the scene using the Diia app
The Government has adopted a resolution that enables the launch of the full cycle of completing a Europrotocol in the Diia app. The service will become operational in the first quarter of 2026. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
“Drivers will be able to record a road traffic accident immediately at the scene – without calling the police and without any paperwork,” emphasised Yulia Svyrydenko.
Diia will automatically pull all the necessary data from state registers:
- information about driving documents,
- vehicle registration certificate and insurance.
The Prime Minister stressed that “this eliminates the risk of errors which previously could lead to drivers being refused insurance payouts”.
When reporting an accident, it will be sufficient to add a few photos, agree the information with the other party, and sign the document using Diia.Signature.
The status of the Europrotocol processing can also be tracked directly in Diia, without having to visit the insurer or additional applications.
“The new service will make it possible to settle traffic accidents quickly and without unnecessary burden on the police,” emphasised the Head of Government.
