Ministry of Digital Transformation: Completing a Europrotocol for a traffic accident will be available in Diia

Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, posted 11 December 2025 10:46

Completing a traffic accident without calling the police or dealing with paperwork will soon become even simpler. The Government has adopted a resolution that enables the launch of the full cycle of completing a Europrotocol in the Diia app.

How will it work?

Previously, drivers often had to use third-party services or paper forms to complete a Europrotocol, and then separately contact the insurance company. The new service in Diia will combine these steps into one convenient process:

Recording the traffic accident. Drivers fill in a joint accident statement directly in the Diia app.

Automated data. Diia will automatically pull the necessary information from registers (driving licence, vehicle registration certificate, insurance details). This minimises the risk of errors when filling in the form.

Signing. The document is certified with Diia.Signature, ensuring its legal validity.

No need to wait for the police or visit the insurer. The status of the Europrotocol processing can be tracked in real time directly in the app. Automatic data verification from registers will prevent situations where payouts are refused due to an error in a surname or vehicle number.

The Europrotocol in Diia will appear in the first quarter of 2026.
