Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko took part in the presentation of new 10-hryvnia coins dedicated to unity and territorial integrity.

As part of the series "We are strong. We are together," the first three commemorative coins dedicated to the regions that were the first to find themselves at the epicentre of russian aggression were put into circulation: the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"It is symbolic that this event took place on the anniversary of the All-Ukrainian referendum — the day that marked the beginning of our restored independence and the irreversible process of Ukraine's international recognition. In 1991, all regions — from Crimea to Lviv, from Luhansk to Chernihiv — made a joint and unanimous choice: to live in a free and independent country," said Yulia Svyrydenko.

The Head of Government emphasised that this choice is enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine. It is defended and fought for every day by our Armed Forces. Ukraine was, remains and will be a sovereign and indivisible state.

"Over the years, we as a nation have learned that the key to preserving territorial integrity and independence is a strong army, strong state institutions, and our economic self-sufficiency. And the key is our unity. We must cherish it. Only in unity have we been, we are, and will exist," the Prime Minister stressed.
