Already 14 million Ukrainians have submitted applications to receive UAH 1,000 under the Winter Support programme, including: 11.4 million applied through the Diia app, of which 2.9 million applications were for children; more than 700,000 applied in person via Ukrposhta; and for another 1.8 million people who are on the social assistance list, the funds will be credited automatically. Applications can be submitted until 24 December. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.
“Today, the second wave of Winter Support payments of UAH 1,000 begins – for those who applied on the second day of the application period. So far, 3.5 million people have already received the money. We see that people have already spent UAH 473 million. The largest share is being used to pay utility bills (80%), followed by spending on books, pharmacies, and donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Yulia Svyrydenko said.
Those who applied through Ukrposhta will start receiving their payments from 6 December.
