On the Volunteer Day, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko thanked everyone who was among the first to defend Ukraine.

In 2014, straight from Maidan, hundreds of people from the Self-Defense Forces went to defend the country. Back then, Ukraine stood its ground thanks to their courage and readiness to act.

Likewise, in 2022, thousands of brave young men and women, without hesitation, took up arms to protect their families and cities from russian occupation.

“Today, our Armed Forces include many volunteers from other countries who, side by side with Ukrainians, are defending our state. Ukraine values everyone who has come to its defense. I thank each and every one who has consciously chosen this path,” emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.

Eternal memory to all who gave their lives in the fight against the russian enemy.
