Yulia Svyrydenko: Frontline regions are our security belt, and we must provide them with everything they need
The frontline regions are our security belt, and we must provide them with everything they need. This was stated by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko during a working visit to the frontline Zaporizhzhia region.
The Head of Government visited a number of social facilities, including an ambulance station and a renovated hospital.
"Here, doctors work 24/7 and often travel to patients under drone attacks and shelling. It is important for us to provide them with decent wages. The state budget for 2026 provides for increased funding for emergency medicine throughout Ukraine. This will allow us to raise the base salary for ambulance medics to UAH 35,000. We are also maintaining an increased capitation rate for those near the front line," said Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Head of Government placed particular emphasis on the safety of the educational process. There are already 17 underground schools operating in the Zaporizhzhia region. Yulia Svyrydenko visited one of them. The state is systematically investing in the safety of education: the budget provides for UAH 5 billion for shelters in schools and UAH 1 billion for kindergartens.
In addition, a Government meeting was held with the leadership of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration on issues topical for the Zaporizhzhia region. The focus was on energy security, defense and protection issues, as well as rapid recovery after shelling.
