Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko discussed further steps in the selection process with candidate for the position of Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko met with Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi, a candidate for the position of Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine (ESBU), to discuss further steps in the competitive selection process. In particular, an agreement was reached on the candidate undergoing the polygraph procedure. This will remove any doubts and ensure the transparency of the process.

The competition commission has already made its decision, and the Government has received the results of additional checks. A decision on the appointment of the head of the ESBU is expected to be made shortly.

The Government remains committed to establishing an effective and independent institution that will have the trust of business and society.
