Yulia Svyrydenko: We focus not on formal programs for veterans, but on accessible practical tools for returning to civilian life

 During a working meeting with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs team, Yulia Svyrydenko discussed how the state can really help veterans find themselves after service — in work, education, or their own business.

“Our focus is not on formal programs, but on accessible practical tools for returning to civilian life,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

According to the Head of Government, one such tool is the Veteran Career platform. It is a digital space for job vacancies, training programs, and grants — all in one place. Today, the platform already has more than 65,000 current vacancies across the country.

Importantly, the service does not just show jobs. It helps to “translate” military experience into the language of the civilian labor market:
- create a resume based on the skills acquired during military service;
- understand where these skills are most in demand;
- get practical tips for employment or retraining.

Currently, more than 3,000 veterans and nearly 1,000 employers who are ready to hire people with combat experience are registered on the platform.

How to use the Veteran Career platform:
- Get to work.veteranfund.com.ua and select the “I am a veteran” option.
- Fill out a short questionnaire (contact details, service, education, civilian experience).
- Confirm your registration via email.
