Yulia Svyrydenko: 50,000 schoolchildren shall receive hot lunches

The Government prolongs modernizing school infrastructure and developing a system of high-quality meals in educational institutions.

“We are allocating UAH 350 million for projects to modernize school canteens. This is the fourth and final allocation of the state subsidy. In total, we will finance 73 projects in 15 regions with UAH 1 billion,” said Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to the Head of Government, this is a unique project.

“Projects are selected through the DREAM and AIKOM digital systems, which automatically generated a ranking based on specific priority criteria,” the Head of Government noted.

The final decision on the allocation of funds was made by a commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the participation of independent experts, including representatives of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine.
