European integration reforms imply a permanent process and continuous work of all authorities. Ministries and departments should never forget their crucial role in advancing the necessary legislative changes. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze during a meeting on the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU and other issues in the sector of European integration, which gathered deputy ministers for European integration and heads of directorates.
"It is extremely important for all representatives of the executive branch to keep in mind that European integration is a process that can not be halted. Therefore, every effort should be made to avoid any delays in the implementation of one or other provision of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement", said Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze.
The Vice Prime Minister emphasized that an extremely important element to increase the efficiency of European integration reforms is the maximum use of assistance from European partners. In this regard, it is essential to prioritize directions for using this assistance. "I emphasize that currently each ministry and department of Ukraine should set it as one the main tasks the systematic prioritization of cooperation lines with the EU. We, in synergy with our partners, must understand where our joint efforts are necessary in order to achieve maximum results", said the Vice Prime Minister, commenting on the state of implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze also added that systematic work in this area is an important auxiliary tool in the negotiation process with European partners on a particular issue of cooperation, and allows filling with the specific content a political part of Ukraine's cooperation with the EU. Such work, in particular, allowed to consolidate in the joint statement on the results of the 20th EU-Ukraine Summit the readiness of the European Union to approve a mechanism of Ukraine's integration along several priority areas: energy and digital markets, the customs sector, as well as justice, freedom and security.
Summing up, Ivanna Klimpush-Tsintsadze noted that the executive authorities should also monitor the implementation of legislative changes necessary to ensure the compliance with the Association Agreement and to cooperate with the relevant line committees of the Council in order to achieve maximum synergy effects from cooperation between the Government and Parliament.
