EU disburses EUR 6.1 billion to Ukraine for defense procurement: Sergii Koretskyi expresses gratitude for financial support
Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi thanked President of the European Council António Costa for the EU’s financial support, in particular for the recent decision to allocate EUR 6.1 billion to Ukraine for defense procurement.
"I am glad to welcome in Kyiv President of the European Council António Costa.
We appreciate that our European friends stand by us as we defend our independence and shared values. I thanked for all the financial support, in particular, for today’s decision to allocate EUR 6.1B for defense procurement," stressed the Head of Government.
The parties also discussed accelerating Ukraine’s EU accession negotiations, increasing pressure on russia, as well as support in energy, financial, and defense domains.
"Ukraine is committed to the path of reforms and its European integration obligations,” emphasized the Prime Minister.
Moreover, the interlocutors addressed global food security amid russia’s Black Sea aggression and war‑risk insurance.
Sergii Koretskyi extended gratitude to António Costa for his personal support, while all the EU member states for standing with Ukraine.
