    Since the launch of the Government's eRobota grant programme, the state has invested UAH 5.5 billion in small and medium-sized business development through grants. A total of 10,400 Ukrainians have already received grants to start or expand their own business. This was announced by Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

    "Grants for starting or developing a business under the eRobota initiative have already been provided to 10,400 Ukrainians. In total, the state has invested UAH 5.5 billion in entrepreneurship through grants. These are investments in the launch of thousands of new small and medium-sized enterprises, in scaling up the business of existing companies, and creation of more than 35,000 new jobs for our citizens. At the same time, grant recipients have already returned over UAH 1 billion of invested funds to the budget in the form of taxes and fees paid," said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

    In total, since the launch of the eRobota project in July 2022:

    • under the Own Business programme - 9,634 microgrants for UAH 2.3 billion were issued;
    • for the development of processing enterprises - 482 grants for UAH 2.5 billion;
    • for horticulture and greenhouse development - 144 grants for UAH 631 million;
    • for veterans and their family members - 132 grants for UAH 50 million.

    Both existing entrepreneurs and people with no business experience can apply for a grant. Applications are submitted through the Diia portal along with a business plan. A prerequisite for receiving a grant is the creation of new jobs - from 1-2 in the case of a microgrant to several dozen in the case of grants under other programmes. The grant funds are returned to the state in the form of taxes and fees paid in the course of the company's operations over three years.

    Just to remind, the eRobota initiative was launched by the Government in July 2022 to support businesses and stimulate job creation. It includes several grant programmes. These include microgrants for starting or developing a business, grants for the creation and development of processing plants, and grants for planting a garden, viticulture, and greenhouse.
