Pursuant to the agreement between the Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko and the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of Finland Ville Tavio to deepen cooperation in energy sector recovery projects, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Yaroslav Demchenkov met with representatives of the Finnish Energy Community. The organisation unites more than 150 companies, business organisations and financial institutions.
The Deputy Minister stressed that Ukraine is a reliable partner for foreign companies, despite the current military risks. This is confirmed by the trust of global financial institutions and international organisations, as well as the experience of Finnish companies already operating in our country.
"Promising areas of cooperation include renewable energy, smart grids, energy storage systems, localisation of energy equipment production, and projects within the decentralisation of Ukraine's energy system," said Yaroslav Demchenkov, urging businesses to work actively in Ukraine.
The parties discussed financial mechanisms for implementing energy projects, investment insurance, and guarantees.
Finland is developing a national plan for the reconstruction of Ukraine, with a significant focus on private sector participation. Continued dialogue between Finnish business and the Ukrainian authorities is key to implementing ambitious energy projects.
