136 winners of this year’s first wave of the Vlasna Sprava (Own Business) program will receive microgrants to start or develop their business. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetyana Berezhna.
“The Government continues to support business and stimulate its development by providing grants. The microgrant program remains in great demand among Ukrainians who want to start their own business or expand it. This year’s first wave of microgrant applications received almost 900 applications. Based on the results of their review, 136 Ukrainians were selected as winners and would receive up to UAH 250,000 of financial support for their business activities from the state. They will create more than 300 new jobs in the course of implementing their business projects,” said Tetyana Berezhna.
Most of the winners who will receive microgrants are from Lviv region – 17 people, Rivne region – 13, Kyiv region – 11, and Kyiv city – 14. Among them, women (53%) and men (47%) are almost equally represented, and more than 70% of the grantees have higher education.
The winners will implement their business projects in the following areas:
Last year, more than 3,300 applicants received microgrants for starting or developing a business totaling UAH 777 million. In 2023, the budget envisages UAH 1.8 billion for the Vlasna Sprava program, which will allow issuing about 10,000 microgrants.
As a reminder, the Government’s eRobota project includes grant programs aimed at stimulating entrepreneurship and job creation. These include microgrants for starting or developing a business, grants for establishing and developing processing plants, planting orchards, viticulture, and greenhouses. Applications for all components of the eRobota program can be submitted through the Diia portal.
