Ukraine will host the European Diving Championships for the second time, and the competition will take place on August 5-11, 2019 in Kyiv. Today, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Viacheslav Kyrylenko chaired a meeting devoted to the issues of preparation and holding this year in Ukraine of the international diving championships.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Finance, National Police, State Border Guard Service and Kyiv City State Administration.
The meeting participants reported on the state of preparation and holding of diving competitions in Ukraine, and also discussed ways of solving problematic issues.
According to the results of the meeting, instructions necessary for the holding of the championship were shaped.
It should be noted that according to the decision made at the session of the Ligue Européenne de Natation (LEN) on October 16, 2018 Ukraine received a right to host the 2019 European Diving Championships. Ukraine hosted such event for the first time in 2017. Then the European Championships was highly praised by the leaders of LEN, participants and guests of the competition.
