Volodymyr Groysman at the Verkhovna Rada: This crucial moment requires synergy, consolidation and decision-making to serve the interests of the State

The historic moment that Ukraine is currently experiencing requires all branches of power to unite, consolidate and approve decisions to serve the interests of the State. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the voting on the draft law on the imposing of martial law in Ukraine in certain territories for a period of 30 days.

"In the history of any state there occurs a responsible moment, which requires synergy, consolidation and decision-making to protect the interests of the State. Today, for us, there is a momentum. And at this tough time we have to demonstrate synergy, to reach a compromise and to make Ukraine stronger", said Volodymyr Groysman. "Millions of people saw yesterday the cynical footage of the attack of the Russian armed forces on our fleet, our sailors. It's belligerent, but not terrible - any ship can be rebuilt. The most valuable thing is life and health of the military. And we have to make a decision to protect the sailors because they protect our country and sacrifice their lives for it."

The Head of Government stressed that the priorities of the Government's work are now to support the army and security sector, maintain economic stability and protect the rights and freedoms of citizens. "And the Government will adopt all the necessary decisions", said Volodymyr Groysman.
