Iceland has directed an additional EUR 2.7 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. The country’s total contribution now stands at over EUR 8.4 million.

“We are grateful to Iceland for its ongoing support for Ukraine. These are the resources that allow us right now to prepare the energy system for the next winter – carrying out planned and emergency repairs, strengthening infrastructure protection, building reserves, and responding quickly to the needs of energy companies,” emphasised Denys Shmyhal, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Ukraine.

Since the start of russia’s full-scale invasion, more than 1,000 contracts worth over EUR 850 million have been signed through the Fund’s financial mechanism. Of this amount, essential energy equipment and services to enhance its protection worth EUR 618 million have been procured for 66 Ukrainian energy enterprises. Since mid-November 2025 alone, contracts worth more than EUR 582 million have been signed to bolster the resilience of Ukraine’s energy system.
