A meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for the Protection of Children's Rights under Martial Law was held. The event was chaired by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories. The participants discussed the return to Ukraine of evacuated status children - orphans and children deprived of parental care.

The interlocutors stressed that children should be placed in families rather than institutions, especially if the latter are not equipped with bomb shelters. All actions of local administrations to return children should be carried out exclusively within the framework of the law and coordinated by the National Social Service of Ukraine.

The Coordination Headquarters members also discussed the implementation of the Chidren Unified Information and Analytical System and the activities of international charitable organisations involved in providing assistance to children.
