The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine expects to conclude all planned contracts within the framework of the State Defense Order by the end of this year and thus reach 100% fulfillment of SDO-2021.

This was stated in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine by the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleg Uruskyi, commenting on the current state of implementation of the State Defense Order (SDO).

"In 2021, almost every two months, I convened a meeting with all government customers on the progress of the SDO implementation. The recent took place in early September. The next one is scheduled for mid-October. So, this issue is constantly under control. According to the reports of all customers, and we have more than ten of them - the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, the National Police and a number of others - the SDO is being implemented according to the plan in 2021," said the Minister for Strategic Industries.

Oleg Uruskyi noted, out of the total amount of the planned financing for SDO-2021 in the amount of UAH 27.5 billion, transitional and new state contracts worth over UAH 19 billion have been extended, and almost UAH 13 billion has already been financed.

"If we talk only about the main customer - the Ministry of Defense, then as of September, the agency has placed almost 85% of the annual orders for work, services, purchase of samples of weapons and military equipment within the SDO-2021 framework. According to the assurances of the Ministry's management, they expect to reach 100% by the end of this year and sign all the planned contracts," the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed.

Oleg Uruskyi expressed hope that the Ministry of Defense is implementing its plans for SDO and this year there will be no significant adjustments to procurement, as was the case in previous years.
