  • Hennadii Zubko met with leadership of consolidated communities in Chernivtsi region

    Deputy Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko is on a working trip to Chernivtsi region. The key meeting of the trip is  open conversation with the heads of 33 consolidated communities (CCs) of Chernivtsi region.

    "The decentralization reform should become irreversible and the next key step should be amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine. In particular, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko  placed a special emphasis on the final transfer of executive powers to regions and communities and  establishment of prefectures," Hennadii Zubko stressed.

    The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that all heads of CCs are committed to the reform, all precisely want to see the prospects of their communities and shape plans for 3-5 years or more. In turn, the heads of the CCs supported the course on the continuation of decentralization and the European integration path of Ukraine for the future.

    The program of the visit encapsulates a lecture for students of Chernivtsi National University named after Yuriy Fedkovych on the theme "Decentralization reform in Ukraine", as well as visits to the newly built outpatient clinic within the framework of the program "Accessible Primary Medicine in Rural Areas".
