The Foreign Minister praised the important role of the UN in providing humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian civilian population affected by the Russian aggression, as well as supporting the Ukrainian government’s efforts to implement reforms and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

"I am convinced that the United Nations can play an active role in other areas of settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, in particular in the context of the possible deployment of a peacekeeping operation, as well as in the reconstruction and reintegration of the affected regions of Ukraine," Vadym Prystaiko emphasized.

In turn, the UN Secretary-General reaffirmed commitment to UN resolutions on respect for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders and assured of its continued willingness to provide practical assistance to Ukrainians in these difficult times.
