Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk reported in the Verkhovna Rada that the situation in Novi Sanzhary is under absolute control of the Government. Evacuated Ukrainians and foreign nationals, including children, are safe. They got everything they need, they feel good. As of morning, civilian order has been introduced and the situation controlled.

“For our Government, the life and health of the people is of the highest value. Protecting them is our topmost priority and our principal objective. Last night, I have seen with my own eyes that they were all accomodated in rooms and at last people could have had some rest. We ensured that they have everything they needed: food, communication, comfort,” said Oleksiy Honcharuk.

Security and maintenance order measures were intensified in the region. The main thing for us is to prevent anyone to get hurt from one side or the other. After yesterday's situation, a number of criminal proceedings have already been initiated. All the perpetrators will be punished with the strictness of the law,” he emphasized, adding that the developments that had occurred the previous day were, in his opinion, the consequence, in particular, of the information war that is ongoing against our country both from the inside and the outside.

“The Government, the President, the Parliament have done everything they could to keep citizens evacuated and those staying on the territory of Ukraine safe. We are ready to respond to the challenges that occur. Last week I paid a visit to Poltava to see how medical reform is being implemented there. Poltava region is ready. Provocations cannot be excluded, but we are ready for that,” the Head of Government said.
