Interactive map of potential mine hazard created in Ukraine
The territories liberated from the enemy still remain dangerous due to the large number of explosive hazards left as a result of hostilities. In order to protect the population from the risks associated with mine danger in Ukraine, an interactive map of the territories that could potentially be contaminated with explosives was created.
The map shows the places where explosive hazards have already been found or are likely to be found, and the degree of threat from them according to the information available to the SES.
You can use the map at the link or install it as a mobile application. You can download it for Android and for IOS.
Map options also allow you to promptly notify the SES of the detection of explosive objects, call sappers to neutralize dangerous finds.
In turn, the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories reminds residents of the de-occupied territories how to act in case of detection of a suspicious object:
- do not approach or touch it;
- move to a safe distance of 100 meters by the same route you approached;
- be sure to report your find by calling 101, 102;
- warn others about the danger.
