
Government plans to allocate UAH 2 billion for energy efficiency next year
The Government provides stable funding for projects aimed to reduce energy consumption, which is an important step towards building the energy independent state. The draft budget for the next year envisages allocation of UAH 1.6 billion. Due to this funding, Ukrainians will be able to get assistance for energy modernization of their homes.
The government "warm loans" program will be continued next year, and a sum worth UAH 400 million will be allocated for the said program. This campaign has already proven its effectiveness: over the period of four year more than 500,000 Ukrainian families became participants of this program and they also started to implement energy efficiency measures at a cost of UAH 6.7 billion and energy savings make up about 230 million cubic meters per year. The budget expenditures amounted to UAH 2.3. billion.
In 2018 the Government allocated UAH 400 million for the “warm loans” program and more than 115 thousand families have seized benefits of this program.
