    Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman calls on all sides of the budgetary process to demonstrate consolidated efforts in order to make decisions that will ensure the growth of the country. Opening the Government sitting, the Prime Minister commented on the planned consideration of the draft state budget for 2019.

    The Head of Government emphasized that the Parliament has been considering the document  for more than a month. The draft state budget is realistic and well-balanced. However, there are attempts to increase the expenditure part - up to the budget amounts of such countries as Germany.

    "I understand that the draft budget is being criticized because of political motivations. We are asked to increase expenditures by trillions of hryvnas. But I'm not making hollow promises.This is a budget that will trigger the development and the growth of the economy. This budget will ensure the stable situation, the growth of the industry as well as the average wages increase", the Prime Minister stressed.

     Volodymyr Groysman recalled that all priority directions are preserved in draft state budget - from financing the armed forces to introducing changes in education, medicine and further decentralization.

    "I want Ukrainians to be proud of their country and those who make state decisions. I appeal to all stakeholders. These are the things the citizens expect", the Head of Government said. "I urge all participants in the (budget) process, despite the elections, to adopt  state decisions that will allow to overcome the problems that have been accumulated for decades. I am confident that we will be able to unite around balanced solutions".
