On 16 October in Buenos Aires, an Agreement was signed between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Secretariat of Sports of Argentina on cooperation in the sector of physical culture and sports.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Ihor Zhdanov, the Secretary of State for Sports of Argentina Carlos Javier Mac Allister, a member of the Government, and his successor, Diogenes de Urquiza, who is to take the office in a month, as well as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Argentina Yurii Dyudin.
Such a deal between Ukraine and Argentina is being inked for the first time. It creates the regulatory framework of Ukrainian-Argentine cooperation in the sector of physical culture and sports through the central executive authorities and public organizations of physical culture and sports.
During the meeting, Ihor Zhdanov and his counterparts from Argentina discussed further plans for cooperation. In particular, within the framework of the Agreement there will be carried out an intensive exchange of experience between coaches and athletes of both countries. Moreover, it has been planned educational visits of specialists, organization and holding of seminars and conferences in physical culture and sports issues with the participation of representatives of government agencies, national federations of sports, sports associations and clubs.
