Representatives of the Government of Ukraine, diplomats, heads of international organizations and media representatives gathered for the Ukrainian military more than UAH 130 thousand at the charity auction "Angels of hope". The event was held on February 8, under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze.
"For five years our brave defenders have been fending off the malicious aggression of the largest and most cynical army on the continent. This struggle requires from us not only military capability, but above all our unity, love and sensitivity. I am convinced that exactly these things, besides weapons and diplomacy are the keys to our victory. That is what distinguishes us from the aggressor and makes us invincible," the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.
Funds were raised through the sale of the manuscript paintings of angels on the shingles (wooden boards from the old roof the roof the Church of St. George in Drohobych). 19 lots were painted by well-known women in Ukraine, among them the First Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine on European Integration Natalia Boyko, singer Angelika Rudnytska, TV host Julia Borisko, journalist Natalya Fitsich, and others. The auction was attended by the diplomatic corps, representatives of ministries, Parliament and public organizations.
Participants drew pictures under the guidance of renowned artist-painter Lev Osprey.
The most expensive lot sold at the auction was an image of angel of singer Angelika Rudnitskaya. A sum worth UAH 12 thousand was paid for the lot.
Funds collected from the sale of these paintings will be allocated to the needs of rehabilitation Center for soldiers ATO "Phoenix", where medical volunteers help hundreds of soldiers, who got through the hell of war, to return to normal life.
