The work of the Government should be targeted at forming a middle class in Ukraine and supporting entrepreneurial initiative. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a regular Government sitting on February 24.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved amendments to the Procedure for providing state financial support to small and medium-sized enterprises. According to the Prime Minister, this decision is aimed to support business and further development of the state program of "Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%".
"From now on, the maximum amount of financial assistance from the state for those who received a loan last year will amount not to 200,000 euros, but 400,000 euros. This is another step towards "cheap money", which has been inaccessible to small and medium-sized businesses in recent years in Ukraine. Our decision is also particularly important given the coronavirus crisis, which encapsulates additional uncertainty and costs for entrepreneurs. That is why, today the Government is lending a shoulder to business and increasing relevant support during the crisis," Denys Shmyhal underscored.
