Government will introduce a digital Student ID Card
In the 2020-2021 academic year the Government will introduce electronic Student ID Cards for students in schools and universities in test mode. The decision was adopted today, December 18, at a meeting of the Government.
It will be available through the Diia (Action) mobile application, which has been running since December 16 in beta testing.
"Such digital documents will serve as the student's identification and will retain the relevant privileges. Paper documents are still in effect," said Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science must provide technically the formation of electronic ID cards.
The digital Student ID Card provides all the rights for obtaining privileges all the schoolchildren and students are eligible for.
