From August 1, 2020, family members of the killed military will receive state targeted assistance as a supplement to retirement benefits.

This decision was made today at an extraordinary meeting of the Government, at the initiative of the President of Ukraine.

The benefit will be paid to those family members who have lost a breadwinner and whose pension is under UAH 7,800. If the pension is granted to two or more family members, the targeted pension benefit is set in the amount not exceeding UAH 6,100 for each of these family members.

The Resolution provides for a supplement to 9,000 family members of servicemen who died (were killed) as a result of injury, mutilation, contusion or other damage to health received during direct participation in the anti-terror operation/joint forces operation.

According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Pension Fund of Ukraine must ensure the recalculation of pensions from August 1, 2020, based on the materials of pension cases.
