Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
Аccording to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 4, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 74,219 COVID-19 cases, 40,613 people recovered, 1,764 patients died. During the 24 hours, 1,061 new cases have been confirmed.
A total of 1 081 146 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 737 people have recovered.
As of August 4, coronavirus disease was registered:
- Vinnytsia region – 2, 848 cases;
- Volyn region – 4,008 cases;
- Dnipropetrovsk region – 1,459 cases;
- Donetsk region - 903 cases;
- Zhytomyr region – 1,967 cases;
- Zakarpattia region – 5,384 cases;
- Zaporizhia region – 851 cases;
- Ivano-Frankivsk region – 5,041 cases;
- Kirovohrad region - 711 cases;
- Kyiv – 8,662 cases;
- Kyiv region – 3,877 cases;
- Lviv region – 10,067 cases;
- Luhansk region - 130 cases;
- Mykolaiv region - 648 cases;
- Odesa region – 3,545 cases;
- Poltava region - 466 cases;
- Rivne region – 6,355 cases;
- Sumy region – 560;
- Ternopil region – 3,121;
- Kharkiv region – 4,093;
- Kherson region – 230;
- Khmelnytsky region – 1,200;
- Chernivtsi region – 6,229;
- Cherkasy region – 955;
- Chernihiv region – 909.
Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
